Day 1 - 20th January: Travelling

Set off from St Andrews at around 7am. Got to Leuchars railway station, found that the Tay Bridges were closed due to high winds, and no trains were running. Great. Discovered that trains were running from Kirkcaldy, so called up a taxi to head down there... then the bridge was announced as running. Train came, got to Edinburgh, got bus to the airport, got on plane to London Heathrow, waited a bit, got on plane to Toronto, waited a while for a bus there, waited ages ON the bus, and finally got to the hostel!
