… TTDPatch.net. TTDPatch is a brilliant patch for Transport Tycoon Deluxe – indeed, it is the patch for TTD. It includes many enhancements, new features, bug fixes, and so on. TTDPatch 1.9 was released very recently – go and get it now if you don’t already! Click here to go to the Awards page.
On the subject of TTD, The Transport Tycoon Forums had a successful launch a few days ago – please do check them out if you enjoy the game, if you have a problem, or just want to meet up with fellow gamers and have a chat. Enjoy!
Finally, I will be releasing a Transport Tycoon Deluxe Utility Pack soon. This will have all the major TTD tools in one convenient package (currently about 5.7mb in size) – TTDPatch (plus full documentation), TTDAlter, TTDX Editor, TTDX Configurator, the Saved Game Manager, GRFCodec and SV1Codec, plus a handy auto-update utility. The update utility will take advantage of the new owenrudge.net Download System currently in development to access the latest releases of the tools spread across the owenrudge.net mirrors. Transport Tycoon Saved Game Manager and TTDAlter will be adopted to take advantage of this new system soon too. A new release of TTSGM is on the horizon, which features a new Office XP-style customizable menu and toolbar system, which will be accessible from an extended plug-in system. New plug-ins planned include a system where you can associate a TTDPatch configuration file with every saved game, edit it (via TTDX Configurator) and launch TTDPatch with the new settings, all from a new TTDPatch menu. Another plug-in will let you select game(s) to e-mail, and will then compress them into a ZIP (or CSG if you prefer, which is just a ZIP with extended information for the Manager) and open up a new e-mail message with the files attached. Keep an eye out here for more information coming soon.
