Blog: The Life Of A Supreme Ruler
Random day

Not a lot happened today… woke up, postman had been – my copy of Visual Studio 2005 beta 2 arrived, as had a letter from St. Andrews telling me that they received my accommodation application and will allocate accommoation after exam results come out in August. I installed Visual Studio, and proceeded to build a 64-bit Windows version of OpenTTD with it. Tested it on Tom’s computer, and it crashed, but it does work, to a point. Work in progress. ๐
So to answer the question asked on tt-forums: you are quite a random person!
Also, why does google ads show me an ad about the Michael Jackson trial? :p
And, wow, I have actually posted something new on my blog. Truly fascinating. You REALLY want to read it!

So, how you finding visual studio then? Are you still at home by the way or have you gone back?
Comment by Richard Grundy — 20/05/2005 @ 1:51 pm
Visual Studio is good, a bit slow at times on my Duron 1.2GHz. I am home, yes, will be home until Sunday night, then back Monday night for about 4 months. ๐ MSN doesn’t want to sign in though, I’ll try rebooting and then signing in later.

Slow :o, they were saying on channel 9 how quick beta 2 loads even with under 512mbs of ram…

It loads really quickly, it’s just it randomly slows down at times when using the UI, then recovers. ๐

…post’man’ – are you sure about that? (!)

Well, I say “postman” in the “referring to postman or postwoman” type of way. Perhaps I’ll just say “postie”. ๐
