I’ve uploaded a collection of small programs called WinAmp Control Centre that you can use to control WinAmp in a variety of scenarios. Check it out! I have also fixed the Title Bar Clock download. The file had become corrupted on the server.

OSPlus Utility Kit 2.0 Released, plus new screenshots at DesktopShots
Filed under: — orudge @ 05/08/2001 12:00 am
I have released OSPlus Utility Kit 2.0. This includes updated versions of Text Editor, Disk Imager and ViewPlus. I’ve also updated the OSPlus Revision History (finally!). Also, I’ve uploaded four new screenshots to DesktopShots. Keep them coming!
DesktopShots is now open!
It turns out that the server I planned to put the screenshots on was not down, it’s just it changed IP address and the DNS information hadn’t been updated, so I used the alternative domain, which worked. Anyway, DesktopShots is now open! Click here to go there!
DesktopShots delayed
DesktopShots may not be ready tomorrow due to some (rather annoying) hosting problems (I have 25mb of screenshots to place somewhere, and the place I planned to put them is down). With luck, I should get DesktopShots up by tomorrow night. Sorry about this.
Expansion of the Empire
owenrudge.co.uk may be taking over DesktopShots, a site where you can show off your desktop to others. More news on this later. The Empire is growing…..
And the July award goes to…
Jeepers! August already! Anyway, where was I… ah yes… the July award goes to… Melissa Joan Hart Central. Click here for more information and to see previous site awards. On another note, Transport Tycoon Saved Game Manager 2.0 should soon be uploaded. This is much better than earlier versions – watch this space.
Screenshot of GEMP3 2.2 uploaded to GEM Workshop
Filed under: — orudge @ 29/07/2001 12:00 am
Sorry for the long delay in update time, but I’ve been doing other things and never really got round to updating the site. Anyway, I’ve uploaded a screenshot of the forthcoming GEMP3 2.2 to the GEM Workshop. Click here to see it. GEMP3 2.2 will have a full screen visualisation which will run in 256 colours and generally will be very good.
I’ve also updated the Information/Feedback page, with various small updates, information on submitting TT saved games/scenarios, as well as something about the guestbook message from Melissa Joan Hart. As always, if you have any comments on this site, or just want to say hello, then please e-mail me, sign the guestbook, post a message in the forums, or do all of the above! Thanks!
It’s my birthday!
It’s my birthday today! This time last year I was "down south" on holiday, but this year I’m not. Anyway, as always, if you have any comments or queries on the site, please do e-mail me! On a slightly different note, I’m doing very well in my latest TT game! I last saved it on 9th July 2042 (that was actually an accident – I pressed the Save button and it was about the 7th, so I waited until it was the 9th!), and at this time I have £324 million. In my first game I played, I only had £278 million at this time. As for my second and third games, I don’t know, as I lost them.
GEM MOD Player 0.1 uploaded to GEM Workshop

And the June award goes to…..

UselessFactOfTheDay.com. A brilliant site for everything useless. Includes a load of useless facts, plus several graffiti walls, a quiz and a useless competition! Click here to go to the Awards page.
Small updates, a new poll, and something new for the future…
Filed under: — orudge @ 10/06/2001 12:00 am
I’ve been working on the drop-down menu script, and it now works in Netscape 6/Mozilla, as well as Internet Explorer 4.0+ and Netscape 4.x. They also work in Opera, only it doesn’t seem to load the external JavaScript file so it doesn’t work. I’ve also done a bit of work on the Emma page, and fixed some NS6/Mozilla problems. Click here to view the Browser Compatibility page.
I recently got a trial version of Office XP, and it seems quite good. I previously used Office 97 Pro, and haven’t used Office 2000 much (except a couple of times at school). It’s much faster and generally better. This is the theme for the new poll – what do you think of Office XP?
Finally, I’ve been working on a new site which Transport Tycoon fans will enjoy. This will be launched soon (hopefully early next week), so check back again in a couple of days!
And the May award goes to…
… TheForce.net. An excellent Star Wars site, and by excellent, I mean excellent. Check it out! Click here for more information.
TT Music page updated
The Transport Tycoon Music page has been updated to include the new enhancements offered by the new music "library" system I’ve created. The benefits are mainly server-side, but it means that you no longer have to have JavaScript enabled (except to use the New Window command).
OSPlus Disk Imager 1.2 Released
I have released version 1.2 of my OSPlus Disk Imager. This is also open source, and you can download it (both binaries and source) from SourceForge. Click here for more information. Also, if you’ve been trying to download OSPlus Text Editor 2.0 but you don’t get an updated web site at osplus.sourceforge.net, this is because the SourceForge shell server has been down, and I was unable to upload the site. It’s fine now.
BIG NEWS! Ultimate Transport Tycoon Game Repository Launched!
I’ve launched The Ultimate Transport Tycoon Game Repository. This is a huge collection of Transport Tycoon saved games, scenarios plus a few utilities. There are literally hundreds of games to choose from, which you can then rate and comment on. Once you’ve found some games you like, check out the forums and converse with other users. If you’ve designed a great scenario, submit it! Click here to visit the Repository! PS: You can get to the Repository easily by going to www.gamearchive.uk.tt.

I’ve uploaded a version of Bad Seal that Jon Heather has modified and improved, as well as a lot of information on it. Click here to go to the SEAL Workshop. On a slightly different note, I’ve fixed a download problem with the Video Player topic in the Visual Basic Workshop.
