Gah, gah, and triple-gah

Well, if you can see this, you’re lucky. The delightful JervHost server has gone and, well, gone again, and therefore owenrudge.net, etc, is Not Working™, which is excellent. That also means that my main e-mail account is Not Working™ – if you urgently need to get in touch with me, use my owenrudge.com address (owen@). Hopefully JervHost will be back relatively soon… that’s the theory, anyway. *sigh*
Why don’t you move everything onto Mr Zernebok?

Well, perhaps. 😉 JervHost has served me reasonablly well since 2001/2002, it’s just occasionally it’s a bit less than perfect. Plus, I’m kind of lazy, and it takes a bit of effort to move everything over. 😛

I had an account with Jervhost for a couple of years but found their control panel next to useless. It wasn’t the most user-friendly in the world.
I’ve now switched a few of my sites to BeezerHost who use cPanel, which is much better than plesk and you have more control over the site. You can also host more domains with them.
I’m not sure they’re established enough to host large bandwidth intensive or mission critical sites on but it seems more than adequate for homepages, hobby pages etc. (For example one of the sites I host with them is the Co. Antrim Table Tennis League)

Heh, thanks, but I’ve had my own dedicated servers and hosting company for a couple of years now. JervHost finally bit the dust a couple of months ago, but by then I had been running my sites elsewhere anyway. 🙂 If you happen to want more hosting, feel free to ask me and I could sort you out. 🙂
