Back In Black

Well, the reason for today’s blog title is due to the song I’m currently listening to: AC/DC – Back In Black, of course. Anyway, I had some fun with that Winamp ActiveX control yesterday, and got quite a bit of it figured out (although to be honest it’s got a very easy API), and got three-quarters of the way to figuring out that equalizer stuff, I think.

So, today. Oh yes, must e-mail Steve re: accomodation… anything else? Can’t remember. Oh, it turns out the problem with my TV card on SP2 (which I didn’t even write about, anyway) was due to an incompatibility with a Nero DirectShow filter (I installed a new version of Nero when I installed SP2). So that’s working now. I’m thinking about getting a FreeView (digital terrestrial) box of some sort – a USB one would be ideal, for use on my laptop. Will see how things go.

1. Get a USB TV Tuner, they’re the best bet … can you get USB FreeView (DVB) boxes???

2. I’m not really the AC/DC type, it just so happened that I was listening to an AC/DC song when I posted that. 😉

   You can get USB FreeView boxes – they’re not all that common, but they do exist, and are getting cheaper these days. Will keep you posted.
