Don’t ask. This entry does have a point, I’ll explain all later. 😉

  2. Hmm, did I not explain it on the next post? Well, anyway, someone on #tycoon came up with the word “hedgeguin” – I think it was to do with Hoary Hedgehog and “penguin”, and I googled for it – nothing. So I thought, “I’ll create a blog with the title “hedgeguin” and see how long it takes to get into Google”. I did this, and it took a couple of days, and I was the only result for it. Yay. 🙂

  5. Sorry. I created Hedgeguin. I have proof. Please don’t go and claim the title for yourself. Here is why:
During our school topic, i read that someone ate a penguin. At the time i loved hedgehogs but as I read more about it i became more attached. After a while, a penguin became my favourite animal alongside hedgehogs. I wondered how i could stop people asking ‘what’s your favourite animal?’ so i decided to cross them. My youtube channel is named after it and i’ve created a website on it, also my Steam name is Hedgeguin!?
As i said, Please don’t claim the glory.
    Thanks

  6. How amusing. All I can say is that, 9 years ago, this blog entry was the only result on Google for the word “hedgeguin”. As noted, I didn’t “invent” the word!

  7. Wait, Google created it? I thought of it! O.o

  8. Apparently you’re not the only person to have put together the words “hedge” and “guin”! What I meant was if you did a Google search for “hedgeguin” on the 22nd April 2005, there were zero results. A few days later, there was one result – this page.

I’m not sure how old you are, but you don’t seem to have been using the term online 9 years ago.

For what it’s worth, somebody else seems to have come up with the term too.

Somebody also seems to have invented the penhog. 🙂
